What great a gift God on us did bestow
What great an evidence of divine love
That He sent His only Begotten Son
I’ll remember this always and thank Him a ton
The world was in utter darkness and confusion
Held in bondage by Satan’s delusion
But what a miracle that began in a virgin’s womb
That would culminate ultimately in an empty tomb
God has shamed the wise and strong
And showed that they were in the wrong
Shepherds were announced of His birth
What celebration and joy and mirth
People are busy with shopping and business
About the Baby in the manger, they couldn’t care less
Oh that they would know the God’s greatest gift
And experience the best ever ‘ faith’ lift
I had so many things to worry about
I must admit I really felt down and out
But what peace to know my God still does care
Christmas reminds me I’ve still got much to share
